Company dashboard

Company dashboard out of bexio

Every hour the company has recorded in bexio in one clear dashboard – by client, client service and team, monthly, quarterly or by year.

The whole picture

Every hour of the company in one place

Individual time entries say little about utilisation, profitability or steering. The company dashboard condenses every hour recorded in bexio into a company-wide time analysis – the hours and the trends across the whole company, current and consistent with your bexio data.

As a bexio dashboard for running the company it answers the level above the individual project: not "how did this engagement go" but "how did the quarter go" – and out of the same figures that stand in the project and employee reports.

What you see at a glance:

  • The company's total effort over the period you chose
  • Effort per client service, with service colours and classification
  • The split across employees, including each share of the total
  • Non-billable and internal hours made visible
  • Consistent figures from the same source as every other report

Hours analysis

Effort by client, client service and team

The company dashboard groups the hours the way you need them for running the company – so you can see where effort arises and which clients and services make up the largest share. Instead of adding individual projects up by hand, you see patterns and trends directly: which engagements are growing, where non-billable hours accumulate, and how utilisation is spread across the team.

This is the ground for project controlling, time budgeting, capacity planning and pricing decisions – questions that time tracking on its own cannot answer. As a bexio dashboard it gathers the company's hours in one place instead of spreading them across individual project lists.

An example year

Where the company's hours go

A real example from the demo company dashboard for 2026:

Total hours
7247.50 h
Billable
5628.50 h
Non-billable
604.50 h
Internal
694.50 h
Absences and vacation
320.00 h

The four parts add back up to the 7247.50 h total – nothing falls between the categories. Only this split makes the question answerable that a single total leaves open: how much of the time worked is genuinely billable, and where does the rest go? The same split exists per project and per employee, each with its percentage share.

Running the company

Questions the dashboard answers

Which clients account for the most effort?

The effort per client service shows which engagements tie up the largest part of your capacity – and whether that matches what they return.

Where does non-billable effort arise?

Non-billable and internal hours are reported separately instead of vanishing into the total. That makes visible which work never reaches an invoice.

How is the work spread across the team?

The breakdown by employee shows hours and share per person – as a basis for capacity planning, not for checking up on individuals.

Periods

Month, quarter, year – or your own period

You decide the perspective: a single month, a quarter, the whole year or a period of your own. mReport aggregates the bexio hours accordingly and keeps the figures current in the background – as soon as something changes in bexio it is recalculated, with nothing for you to reload.

Trends across months and quarters become traceable, instead of every report being a snapshot. The same company hours analysis can be read monthly for operations and yearly for the close.

For management

The company report as a PDF

The company dashboard is the interactive view in the app, for checking and analysing. For a meeting, your records or the year-end close you export the same state as the company report in PDF: with the total-hours chart, the trend over the period, the project table including the balance against the estimate, and the breakdown by employee.

Your bexio data is only read (privacy); which plan includes how many company reports is on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to a few common questions.

Which periods does the company dashboard cover?

You choose between a month, a quarter, a year or a period of your own. mReport aggregates the bexio hours accordingly and shows the company's total effort.

Can I analyse by client and client service?

The company dashboard groups effort by client service and optionally by employee – including each share of the overall total, so you can see where the hours actually go.

How current are the figures?

mReport keeps the bexio data current in the background and recalculates as soon as something changes – with nothing for you to reload by hand.

Are estimates or budgets shown on the dashboard?

The project breakdown sets the hours worked against the recorded estimate and reports the balance, so it is visible which engagements are running over or under their frame.

Can I include or hide employees in the analysis?

The breakdown by employee can be switched on or off per company report. Without it, the dashboard shows only clients, client services and projects.

Do I see non-billable and internal hours too?

Both are kept as categories of their own and reported separately – together with absences and vacation they make up the overall total alongside the billable hours.
