Work reports
The client-ready report per engagement – with an hour budget, the balance left and the effort per client service. Billable, non-billable and internal hours stay cleanly apart.
Reporting for bexio
The time your team records in bexio becomes consistent PDF hours reports for projects, employees and the whole company – simple, fast and clear.

Why mReport
bexio records time very well – but the analysis, and the report the client actually sees, usually stay handwork in Excel. That is exactly where mReport starts: bexio reporting for teams who have to do something with their hours, not only record them. Instead of rebuilding a spreadsheet every month, the bexio hours report is ready immediately – consistent, reusable, and with no copy-paste.
Time is still recorded only in bexio. mReport reads the time entries, measures them against your rules for expected hours, holidays and vacation, and turns them into dashboards and PDF reports. Your data in bexio is left unchanged.
What mReport takes off your hands:
In 3 steps
Sign up and connect mReport to your bexio account. The time you have already recorded is available straight away. You need a bexio account with projects and time tracking – available from the bexio Optima plan upwards.
Decide once which projects, client services and employees are counted – and under which rules for expected hours, vacation and public holidays.
Pick the period, check the figures on the dashboard and export the finished hours report as a PDF – ready for a client or for your own records.
Your reports
mReport is your team's bexio reporting: four reports built on the same bexio hours, each answering the question you happen to have in front of you.
The client-ready report per engagement – with an hour budget, the balance left and the effort per client service. Billable, non-billable and internal hours stay cleanly apart.
Where a bexio project stands – estimate against booked hours, budget and the hourly rate actually achieved, broken down by work package and by person.
Hours, overtime and undertime, vacation and public holidays per person – with an expected-versus-actual comparison, a calendar heatmap and a multi-year balance. Go to employee reports.
The bexio dashboard for the whole picture across every hour the company has worked, grouped by client, client service and team – monthly, quarterly or by year.
Export
Every report follows the same clear layout and exports as a PDF – with your company logo, the recipient, the period, charts and tables. Every hours report out of bexio looks professional and recognisable, whether it goes to a client, to the team or to management.
If you have only been recording time so far and have never analysed it, analysing bexio time tracking is the place to start.
There is nothing to tidy up afterwards: the PDF is a finished document, not a data export that still has to go through Excel or Word. Which plan fits your team is on the pricing page.
Answers to a few common questions.
mReport is a reporting tool for bexio users. It turns the time you record in bexio into consistent, readable hours reports – for projects, employees and the whole company – and exports them as PDFs.
A bexio account is a prerequisite – and one that includes projects and time tracking. Those modules are available from the bexio Optima plan upwards; on smaller plans the underlying data for the reports does not exist. You go on recording in bexio as usual, and mReport does the analysis.
Your bexio data is left unchanged. mReport only reads the time entries and calculates the reports from them – nothing is written back.
For teams who record their time in bexio and have to make regular sense of it – typically SMEs, agencies, IT service providers and consultancies with several employees and ongoing client projects.
No, and that is deliberate. Recording stays in bexio; mReport is the analysis and reporting layer on top. So there is no double entry, and no second source of data that can drift.
The work report is made for exactly that: it exports as a cleanly laid-out PDF and can be handed on as it is – with the hour balance against budget, the effort per client service and an optional disclaimer. The project report is client-ready too, when you want to show where a project stands against its estimate.
